The Harvard Crimson will travel to Jadwin Gymnasium to take on the Princeton Tigers this Friday night in College Basketball action.

The Harvard Crimson won their 2nd straight game and improved to 13-10 on the season after defeating the Cornell Big Red, 77-72 (OT), this past Saturday. Harvard allowed Cornell to fight back from a 58-40 deficit to force OT, however, Harvard was solid offensively in the extra period and pulled away after an Evan Nelson three-pointer gave the Crimson a 74-67 lead with 2:17 left in regulation. Harvard shot 47.5% from the field & 39.1% from beyond the arc while allowing Cornell to shoot 47.5% from the field & 25.8% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Crimson was Noah Kirkwood who had 31 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, & 2 steals.

On the season, Harvard is averaging 72.3 ppg on 43.2% shooting from the field. The Crimson are averaging 8.7 three-pointers per game on 33.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Harvard has been led by Noah Kirkwood (18.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.1 spg), Luka Sakota (11.6 ppg. 3.5 rpg, 2.0 apg), Kale Catchings (8.4 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.1 spg), Mason Forbes (8.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg).

Defensively, Harvard is allowing their opponents to average 68.4 ppg on 43.7% shooting from the field. The Crimson have a rebound margin of -0.7 and a turnover margin of 3.3.

The Princeton Tigers won their 4th straight game and improved to 19-5 on the season after defeating the Yale Bulldogs, 81-75, this past Saturday. Princeton was outstanding defensively in the 2nd half against the high-scoring Yale offense and was able to hold off the Bulldogs for the victory after taking a 69-56 lead with 9:57 left in the 2nd half. Princeton shot 48.3% from the field & 40.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Yale to shoot 40.6% from the field & 30.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Tosan Evbuomwan who had a double-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, Princeton is averaging 72.3 ppg on 43.2% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 8.7 three-pointers per game on 33.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Princeton has been led by Tosan Evbuomwan (15.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.9 apg, 1.5 spg), Ethan Wright (15.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.2 spg), Jaelin Llewellyn (14.4 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.6 apg), & Ryan Langborg (11.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.8 apg).

Defensively, Princeton is allowing their opponents to average 69.3 ppg on 44.5% shooting from the field. The Tigers have a rebound margin of 3.5 and a turnover margin of 1.5.

The Crimson are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games, however, are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games vs. Princeton. The Tigers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games & 9-1 ATS in their last 10 February games.

Harvard has been able to pick up a couple of much-needed wins as of late, however, this is still a team that is missing many key contributors due to injury and has overall, not played very well as of late, losing 5 of their last 8 games. Princeton picked up a huge win over Yale last Saturday and between the fact that I think the Princeton offense, which ranks 10th in scoring offense, 11th in FG%, & 7th in three-pointers per game will have plenty of success on their home court against Harvard’s 185th ranked scoring defense and that Harvard is just 4-6 on the road this season, I think the Tigers do enough to cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
