The Wright State Raiders and the Purdue Boilermakers meet in college basketball action from Mackey Arena on Tuesday night.

The Wright State Raiders will look to bounce back from a 96-88 loss to Marshall in their last game. Grant Basile leads the Raiders in scoring with 25 PPG along with 9 RPG while Tanner Holden has 22 PPG with 6 RPG and a team-high 4.5 APG this season. Tim Finke has 12 PPG and a team-high 9.5 RPG to make up the three double-digit scorers for Wright State through their first two games of the season. As a team, Wright State is averaging 87 PPG on 42.3% shooting from the field, 32.6% from three and 79.6% from the foul line while allowing 74.5 PPG on 40.5% shooting from the field and 25.4% from three this season.

The Purdue Boilermakers will be out to add to a 92-67 win over Indiana State last time out. Jaden Ivey and Zach Edey share the team lead in scoring with 19 PPG, with Ivey logging 6.5 RPG and a team-high 3.5 APG while Edey leads the Boilermakers on the glass with 9.5 RPG this season. Sasha Stefanovic has 14.5 PPG and a team-high 3.5 APG of his own and Brandon Newman has 11 PPG for Purdue to make up the final double-digit scorer for the Boilers through their first two games this season. As a team, Purdue is averaging 94 PPG on 51.8% shooting from the field, 42.9% from three and 75.4% from the foul line while allowing 67 PPG on 39.8% shooting from the field and 29.5% from three this season.

Wright State is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS loss while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall. Purdue is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record and 5-0 Ats in their last 5 Tuesday games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

This feels like a high total on the surface, but Purdue’s been scoring pretty well early on this season and even if we get 85 from the Boilers, that only leaves Wright State to get into the mid-60s which has been no problemo in their first two games of the season. Granted Purdue’s going to be the toughest test yet for Wright State, but I still like the over in this one.
