Queens vs Liberty Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/22/23

The Liberty Flames and the Queens NC Royals meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Levine Center Curry Arena. Liberty sits at 22-7 overall this year. The Flames are coming off a win over Jacksonville State. As for Queens NC, they’re 17-12 overall after a win versus Kennesaw State on Saturday. Liberty Flames 

Liberty got off to a pretty nice run over their first 22 games, hitting a 17-5 run. In the seven outings since then the Flames are 5-2 with wins over Florida Gulf Coast, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State. 

In the Jacksonville State matchup o Saturday, the Flames went into halftime with a commanding 45-25 edge. Liberty hit a 34-30 run from there and won 79-55. Darius McGhee was the leading team scorer with 27 points. 

Queens NC Royals 

Over on the Queens NC side, they were 14-8 at the 22-game mark this year. The Royals are just 3-4 since then however, losing to Lipscomb, Eastern Kentucky, Bellarmine and Jacksonville State with wins otherwise versus Stetson, Austin Peay and Kennesaw State. 

Matched up against Kennesaw State, the Royals were down 38-35 in the locker room. Queens NC hit a 48-38 run in the second half and won the game 83-76. Kenny Dye led the team on 24 points and five assists. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably take a stab on Queens NC here. The Royals are a sketchy 2-2 over their last four home games, however they’ve been competitive in the losses. Queens NC has been scoring quite well lately also; they’ve hit 69 or more points in five straight outings. As for Liberty, they’re on a nice 3-1 run themselves with 70 or more points in each of those matchups. This game marks the start of a home-and-home pair that will finish off the regular season. I like a couple of fairly competitive matchups, with Queens NC taking the cover in the first installment.
