Quinnipiac vs Saint Peter’s 1/13/23 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Saint Peter’s Peacocks and the Quinnipiac Bobcats meet Friday in college basketball action from TD Bank Sports Center. Saint Peter’s is 7-9 so far this year. The Peacocks lost to Canisius in their last game. As for Quinnipiac, they’re 12-5 overall following a win over Iona. Saint Peter’s stood at 6-6 after 12 games this year, beating NJIT, Bucknell, Old Westbury, FDU, Hartford and Quinnipiac. The Peacocks are 1-3 since then with losses to Iona, Siena and Canisius after a win versus Manhattan. 

Back on Sunday versus Canisius, the Peacocks scored 25 points in the first half, 29 more in the second and six in overtime on the way to a 67-60 defeat. Isiah Dasher was the top team scorer with 19 points and six boards. 

Over on the Quinnipiac side, they hit a 9-3 run through their first 12 with losses to Hofstra, Niagara and Saint Peter’s. The Bobcats are 3-2 in their last five outings, beating Manhattan, Rider and Iona in the most recent trio. 

In the Iona game, Quinnipiac was up 42-28 by halftime. The Bobcats cruised on a 39-30 run in the second half on the way to a nice 81-58 blowout win. Dezi Jones led the team with 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with Quinnipiac. The Bobcats are looking pretty good over this three-game win streak; they’ve hit 68 or more points in five straight games as well. The last time these teams met up back on December 18, the Peacocks took a 63-56 victory at Yanitelli Center. Saint Peter’s has hit the skids on 60 or fewer points across their last three games, so I like Quinnipiac to keep their run going and bag a revenge win/cover in this one. Should be a fun matchup.
