The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will travel to the Robins Center to take on the Richmond Spiders this Friday night in College Basketball action.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies dropped to 12-6 on the season after being defeated by the Davidson Wildcats, 81-76, this past Tuesday. St. Bonaventure has no answers on the defensive end for Davidson and could not fight all the way back after the Wildcats took a 61-46 lead with 8:11 left in regulation. St. Bonaventure shot 46.4% from the field & 29.4% from beyond the arc while allowing Davidson to shoot 47.1% from the field & 42.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bonnies was Kyle Lofton who had 19 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, & 4 steals.

On the season, St. Bonaventure is averaging 70.9 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. The Bonnies are averaging 5.9 three-pointers per game on 31.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, St. Bonaventure has been led by Jalen Adaway (15.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg), Jaren Holmes (15.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.9 apg), Kyle Lofton (14.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 5.5 apg, 1.9 spg), & Dominick Welch (11.0 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensively, St. Bonaventure is allowing their opponents to average 68.4 ppg on 42.2% shooting from the field. The Bonnies have a rebound margin of 2.4 and a turnover margin of 0.7.

The Richmond Spiders improved to 14-8 on the season after defeating the Duquesne Dukes, 74-57, this past Tuesday. Richmond was outstanding on both ends of the court against Duquesne and pulled away in the 2nd half after taking a 60-38 lead with 10:57 left in regulation. Richmond shot 50.0% from the field & 54.2% from beyond the arc while holding Duquesne to just 39.3% shooting from the field & 19.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Spiders was Tyler Burton who had a double-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, & 1 block.

On the season, Richmond is averaging 73.5 ppg on 44.8% shooting from the field. The Spiders are averaging 8.7 three-pointers per game on 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Richmond has been led by Tyler Burton (16.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.1 spg), Grant Golden (14.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.1 apg), Jacob Gilyard (12.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 6.0 apg, 3.4 spg), & Nathan Cayo (8.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.9 apg).

Defensively, Richmond is allowing their opponents to average 69.5 ppg on 44.5% shooting from the field. The Spiders have a rebound margin of -3.7 and a turnover margin of 3.9.

The Bonnies are 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games & 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. A-10 opponents. The Spiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, however, are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games at home.

St. Bonaventure has a bunch of talent, however, the Bonnies have serious depth issues and I think that is going to continue to cost the Bonnies in the 2nd half of game. St. Bonaventure hasn’t been great on the offensive end this season, especially from beyond the arc and haven’t been strong on the road this season, posting just a 2-2 record. Richmond has won 4 of their last 5 games and is 7-3 at home this season and as I think their offense will have no trouble at home putting up points against the Bonnies, I think the play here is to take Richmond to cover this small spread. Good Luck!
