The IPFW Mastodons and the Robert Morris Colonials meet in college basketball action from the UPMC Events Center on Sunday afternoon.
The IPFW Mastodons will look to build off of their 71-61 win over Youngstown State last time out. Jarred Godfrey leads the Mastodons in scoring and assists with 17.2 PPG along with 4.2 RPG while Jalon Pipkins has 13 PPG to cap off the pair of double-digit scorers for IPFW this season. Ra Kpedi leads the Mastodons on the glass with 9.9 PPG and a team-high 6.5 RPG as their top rebounder. Deonte Billups also has 9.5 PPG for IPFW this season. As a team, IPFW is averaging 72.7 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field, 34.7% from three and 80.1% from the foul line while allowing 72.3 PPG on 46.9% shooting from the field and 37.8% from three this season.
The Robert Morris Colonials will look to rebound from a 3rd straight loss at the hands of Cleveland State by a final score of 78-77. Rasheem Dunn leads the Colonials in scoring and assists with 12.8 PPG and 4.1 APG while Kahliel Spear has 12.5 PPG with a team-high 7.1 RPG to lead the Colonials on the glass and Kam Farris has 10.5 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for the Colonials so far this season. Justin Winston has 9.5 PPG as well this season for Robert Morris. IPFW is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 road games against a team with a losing home record. Robert Morris is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win and 5-20-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 home games.
I get why some may say this line looks a bit funny, as Robert Morris could be favored at home and the Mastodons are the better team. With that said, I’m not putting one red cent on this horrendous Robert Morris team and while I’m not overly fond of the Mastodons on the road, they’re simply the better option here so I’ll lay the point with IPFW in this one.
