Loyola Ramblers
Loyola’s season kicked off on a rough 7-13 run through their first 20 games. The Ramblers have since gone just 2-5 with losses to Dayton, Saint Joseph’s, Richmond, Dayton again and Fordham with wins otherwise versus George Mason and UMass.
In the Fordham matchup on Wednesday, the Ramblers held a slim 36-35 edge by halftime. Loyola was outpaced 36-33 in the second however and lost 71-69. Philip Alston was the leading team scorer on 19 points and four rebounds.

In the Richmond matchup on Tuesday, the Billikens managed a 36-27 edge in the first half. Saint Louis was outscored 54-42 from there however and fell 81-78. Javonte Perkins was the leader with 28 points in 34 minutes.

I’ll stick with Saint Louis here. The Billikens have been a pretty shaky team lately and they need a good bounce-back effort after their poor second half in the Richmond loss, though. Saint Louis has hit 76 or more points in four of their last five games—going 3-2 in that stretch—and should be able to notch a pretty solid total here as well. The Billikens and Ramblers last played on January 18 at Gentile Arena. That one ended up a 76-59 win for Saint Louis featuring a 38-25 second half. With the Billikens back at home for this one I think they’ll be fine on a cover if they play well.
