The Saint Joseph’s Hawks and the Saint Louis Billikens meet in college basketball action from the Chaifetz Arena on Tuesday night.

The Saint Joseph’s Hawks will look to snap a four-game losing skid after a 74-62 loss to Dayton in their last game. Jordan Hall leads the Hawks in scoring and assists with 14.2 PPG and 6.2 APG along with 6.2 RPG while Taylor Funk has 13.3 PPG with 6.2 RPG and Ejike Obinna has 12.5 PPG with 7.3 RPG as well to lead the Hawks on the glass. Erik Reynolds II has 11.6 PPG as well for the Hawks to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Saint Joseph’s so far this season. As a team, Saint Joseph’s is averaging 69.6 PPG on 43% shooting from the field, 33.5% from three and 67% from the foul line while allowing 71 PPG on 43.4% shooting from the field and 33% from three this season.

The Saint Louis Billikens will look to rebound from a 89-58 loss to Davidson in their last game. Gibson Jimerson leads the Billikens in scoring with 16.3 PPG while Yuri Collins has 11.1 PPG with a team-high 8.2 APG this season. Jordan Nesbitt has 9.4 PPG with 4.4 RPG while Marten Linssen has 8.6 PPG with 5.2 RPG this season. Francis Okoro has 10.3 points with a team-high 7.6 RPG as well for the Billikens up to this point in the season. As a team, Saint Louis is averaging 78.3 PPG on 46.2% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 77.2% from the foul line while allowing 68 PPG on 41.7% shooting from the field and 32.1% from three this season.

Saint Joseph’s is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games against a team with a home winning percentage above .600 while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home. Saint Louis is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a loss by 20 or more points and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games against a team with a road winning percentage below .400.

I get the case to be made either way here as both teams have been solid from a cover perspective and both have been profitable in their current roles. However, as good as Saint Louis has been playing, they’ve also stumbled as of late and I’m not prepared to lay points just because. Saint Joseph’s has been finding ways to cover as of late and I think they get another one here, even if they sneak in the backdoor to do so. Give me the Hawks and the points here.
