The Rider Broncs and the Saint Peter’s Peacocks meet Saturday in college basketball action from John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center.

Rider enters this one at 4-14 so far. As for Saint Peter’s, they’re sitting at 12-8 this year. This will be a rematch of Friday’s game featuring these same teams. In that one, Saint Peter’s scored a 14-point victory. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Rider hasn’t been able to find a lot of wins so far this year, and they’re yet to win consecutive games. Coming into the Friday matchup the Broncs were 1-6 in their previous seven. They had a three-game losing streak going versus Marist and Quinnipiac.

In Friday’s game versus Saint Peter’s, Rider had a slim 24-23 lead at the break but couldn’t keep up after halftime in an eventual 66-52 loss. Leading the Broncs in scoring was Dwight Murray with 13 points, four rebounds and six assists.

Over on the Peacocks’ side, they’ve had some issues staying consistent this year as well, and haven’t won more than two games in a row yet. In the four matchups heading into Friday’s game, Saint Peter’s had split pairs with both Fairfield and Marist.

In the Friday victory, Saint Peter’s notched a 43-28 advantage in the second half to surge to the comeback. Topping the team in scoring was KC Ndefo with 22 points, six rebounds, a steal and four blocks.

Saint Peter’s is 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight Saturday games. The Peacocks are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 as an underdog and the under is 10-1 in the last 11 overall.

Meanwhile, the Broncs are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 7-18-1 ATS in the last 26 Saturday games. Rider is 4-10 ATS in their last 14 overall and 8-2 ATS in the last 10 as a favorite.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Saint Peter’s in this one. The Peacocks haven’t been a high-scoring team for most of the season, but they’re finding a few wins with defense. Friday’s matchup was another good defensive effort for the Peacocks, and though they started out slow on offense they picked it up after the break. I think Saint Peter’s will keep it going here.
