The UConn Huskies and the Seton Hall Pirates meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Prudential Center. UConn is 15-4 overall this year. The Huskies lost to St. John’s in their last game. UConn hit a perfect 14-0 run to start out the season, and didn’t take their first loss until December 31 versus Xavier. The Huskies are just 1-3 since then with losses to Providence, Marquette and St. John’s.
In the St. John’s game on Sunday, the Huskies took a 38-38 tie into the second half. UConn was outscored 47-36 from there and lost 85-74. Jordan Hawkins posted 31 points and Adama Sanogo doubled on 14 points and 10 boards.
Seton Hall Pirates
Over on the Seton Hall side, they were 7-7 after 14 games with wins over Monmouth, Saint Peter’s, Wagner, Memphis, Lincoln PA, Rutgers and Drexel. The Pirates are 4-1 in their last five games with a lone loss to Creighton.
Back on Saturday versus DePaul, Seton Hall took a 39-39 tie into the second half. The Pirates posted a 32-28 run from there and took the win 71-67. KC Ndefo managed a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

I’m going to take a stab on Seton Hall. You could make a case either way here though, so I’m probably not touching it. The Pirates are playing pretty well over this current 4-1 stretch. They’ve hit 66 or more points in all four of the victories during that time. As for UConn, they’re riding a 1-4 run over their last five, giving up 73 or more points in all four losses. Seton Hall should have some scoring opportunities in this one, and if the Pirates are on point this one will be a high total. Should be an interesting matchup.
