In the rematch with Creighton on Saturday, the Wildcats jumped out to a 38-24 halftime edge. Villanova cruised on 41 more second-half points and ended up with a 79-67 win. Eric Dixon led the team on 31 points and two rebounds.

I’m going to take a stab on Villanova. So long as the Wildcats don’t have the proverbial big-win hangover here, I think they’ll be alright. Villanova has won five of their last six games even though they’re not blowing away the scoreboard. The Wildcats have given up 67 or fewer points in five of those six games. On February 11 when these teams last met up, Villanova posted a 58-54 win at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia. This rematch will probably look similar, though a mildly higher total wouldn’t be surprising either. Should be a fun matchup regardless.
