Seton Hall vs Wagner 11/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Wagner Seahawks and the Seton Hall Pirates meet Sunday in college basketball action from Prudential Center. Wagner is 3-1 on the year so far. The Seahawks beat Fairfield in their last game. Wagner began their season with a 76-73 win over Temple back on November 7. The Seahawks would record their first loss of the year 77-69 versus La Salle. Back on Monday Wagner got back into the W column against Neumann 82-52, though. 

In Friday’s matchup versus Fairfield, the Seahawks got off to a 37-23 lead by halftime. Wagner cruised from there in a 68-52 win. DeLonnie Hunt put up 17 points, and Brandon Brown managed a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. 

Over on the Seton Hall side, they’ve only got three games in the books so far. The Pirates beat Monmouth 79-52 in their opener, then took another blowout win 80-44 versus Saint Peter’s. The Pirates fell to Iowa 83-67 back on Wednesday, though. 

In the Iowa game, Seton Hall was down 34-22 by the time the break arrived. In the second half the Pirates got better but still had a 49-45 deficit. Seton Hall’s Dre Davis topped the team with 13 points. Both Jamir Harris and Kadary Richmond posted 11 points apiece. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with Seton Hall. The Pirates are coming off a pretty rough game versus a solid Iowa team, shooting a tepid 35.8 percent from the field with 16 turnovers and 25 fouls. Seton Hall edged the Hawkeyes in rebounds (40-38; 18-13 offensive) and assists (14-10) however. As for Wagner, they’ve got a couple of pretty good wins under their belts so far but I don’t think they’ll be able to keep up here if the Pirates are rolling.
