The Iona Gaels come into this game looking to bounce back from a 91-87 loss to Quinnipiac last time out. The Siena Saints look to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 50-48 loss to Marist last time out. Sean Durugordon has a team-high 23 PPG and 8.4 RPG through 8 games so far this year while Michael Eley’s added 14.1 PPG with 5.5 RPG through 11 games up to this point. Giovanni Emejuru has 10.8 PPG with 6.2 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures so far this season while Zek Tekin has 9.1 PPG with a team-high 3.6 APG to lead the Saints in the assist department. As a team, Siena is averaging 62.1 PPG on 40.8% shooting from the field, 27% shooting from three and 62.7% from the foul line this season.
Iona vs. Siena Prediction
I’m on Iona here. The Saints have looked more competitive since getting guys back from injury, but this is still not a Siena team I’m going out of my way to back, even in the underdog role. Both of these teams are in rebuild mode, which still feels crazy to say, but I feel like Iona’s in a better position and as such, I’ll back them on the road.
