The Montana State Bobcats and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Frost Arena. Montana State is 1-1 thus far and coming off a win over Rocky Mountain College. As for South Dakota State, they’re 2-1 this year. The Jackrabbits took out Stephen F. Austin in their most recent game. Montana State took on Colorado in their first game of the year. The Bobcats held a halftime lead but ultimately fell in overtime 94-90. Both Abdul Mohamed and Jubrile Belo notched 16 points apiece, combining for six assists and 13 rebounds.
Game two went better for Montana State in a matchup versus Rocky Mountain College. The Bobcats scored 39 points in the first half and 42 more from there in an 81-52 blowout win. Belo was the top scorer in that one with 21 points and five boards.
Over on the South Dakota State side, their opener came versus Bradley. The Jackrabbits played well in that one, ultimately pulling out a nice 81-65 win. In game two, South Dakota State didn’t have as much luck against Alabama, losing 104-88.
The Jackrabbits were able to get back in the win column in game three versus Stephen F. Austin. South Dakota State scored 42 in the first half and 41 more in the second in an 83-71 win. Noah Friedel led the team on 25 points with two rebounds and two assists.
The Jackrabbits are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine after a straight-up win and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Wednesday games. South Dakota State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven as a favorite.

PICK: I’m going to go South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits have played well in their two comparable matchups so far this year. In the Stephen F. Austin win, SD State put up 55.2 percent shooting from the floor with 37 rebounds and 18 team assists. The team did give up 18 turnovers and 10 steals, though.
As for Montana State, they played admirably against Colorado and had another good outing versus Rocky Mountain. This should be a pretty tight matchup initially, but I like SD State to eventually cover.
