Over on the Coyotes’ side, they hit a 7-4 run out of the gate this year with losses to Drake, Nebraska, San Jose State and Northern Colorado. It’s been a 1-3 stretch since then with losses to Oral Roberts, UMKC and South Dakota State before a win over North Dakota.
In the Monday game versus North Dakota, South Dakota posted 39 points in the first half and 36 more from there in a 75-68 win. Mason Archambault and Kruz Perrott-Hunt each put up 19 points with a combined eight rebounds.
South Dakota is 2-6 ATS in their last eight at home and 2-6 ATS in the last eight Thursday games. The Coyotes are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 overall.
Meanwhile, the Pioneers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games. The over is 7-2 in Denver’s last nine road games.
PICK: I’m going to try South Dakota here. The Coyotes had a pretty bad three-game losing streak going there for a while but they looked much better in the Monday win over North Dakota. Generally South Dakota has scored well in comparable matchups this year, and I think they’ll be able to continue that trend against Denver. Should be an interesting matchup but the cover should belong to the Coyotes if they play well.
