The Memphis Tigers and the South Florida Bulls meet Wednesday in college basketball action from USF Sun Dome. Memphis is 17-6 overall this year. The Tigers took a loss to Tulane in their last game. Memphis Tigers
Memphis lost to only Saint Louis, Seton Hall, Alabama and Tulane over their first 16 outings this year. The Tigers have since gone 5-2 with wins over Temple, Wichita State, Cincinnati, SMU and Tulsa.
In the Tulane game back on Saturday, the Tigers scored 46 points in the first half, 33 in the second and 10 in overtime during a tough 90-89 defeat. Kendric Davis was the top scorer with 26 points and seven assists.
South Florida Bulls
Over on the South Florida side, they went a sketchy 7-9 over their first 16 games this year. In their last seven outings the Bulls are 3-4 with losses to Houston, Cincinnati, Temple and SMU alongside wins over East Carolina (twice) and UCF.
In the East Carolina rematch last Wednesday, the Bulls were ahead 44-30 at halftime. South Florida was outscored 33-27 in the second half during a 71-63 win. Tyler Harris was the top team scorer on 21 points.

I’m going to stick with Memphis. The Tigers are coming off a difficult one-point overtime loss to Tulane, but this should be a good matchup to get their proverbial groove back. Memphis wasn’t super dominant the last time these teams met up back on December 29 at FedExForum. The Tigers posted a 93-86 win in that one thanks to 47 second-half points. Memphis is still scoring quite well since then and they should be able to notch a nice total here. I like South Florida to hang around for the first half before the Tigers power out the cover.
