The Tulane Green Wave and USF Bulls meet Tuesday in college basketball action from USF Sun Dome. Tulane is 13-15 so far this year. The Green Wave lost to Florida Atlantic in their last game. As for USF, they’re 22-5 after a win over Charlotte. Let’s get into our Tulane vs. South Florida prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Tulane Green Wave

The Green Wave posted a 12-6 stretch over their first 18 games this year. Tulane has since gone just 1-9 however, falling to UTSA, Charlotte, SMU, Memphis, SMU again, East Carolina, UAB, North Texas and Florida Atlantic in that time. The lone win came versus Temple in OT.

In their latest matchup versus Florida Atlantic on Saturday, the Green Wave came out of the break with a 36-29 deficit. Tulane posted a 44-43 run the rest of the way but couldn’t bridge the gap in a 79-73 defeat. Lead scorer Collin Holloway put up 19 points with five rebounds in the loss.

South Florida Bulls

Over on the South Florida side, they managed an 8-5 run to kick off the year. The Bulls’ last loss was to UAB on January 7; since then it’s been a 14-game win streak. In the last six South Florida has beaten Rice, Tulsa, Florida Atlantic, UTSA, SMU and Charlotte in succession.

Matched up against Charlotte over the weekend, the Bulls jumped out to a 33-28 edge by the break. South Florida finished on a 43-33 run to power out the victory 76-61 in the end. Chris Youngblood was the leading team scorer with 17 points, three rebounds and one steal.

ANDREW’S FREE TULANE VS SOUTH FLORIDA PREDICTION

I’ll lean toward South Florida here. The Bulls are simply playing well these days and enjoying that 14-game win streak. In their last victory over Charlotte, USF hit 48.2 percent from the field with a solid 42-28 rebounding edge and just seven turnovers. If there was a blemish it was the 66.7 percent (14-of-21) from the line. That makes 69 or more points in six of the last seven games.

As for Tulane, they’re giving up quite a bit on the scoreboard lately. The Green Wave have surrendered 75 or more points in 14 straight outings, so USF should have plenty of opportunities to score on Tuesday. I like the Bulls to power out a convincing cover here; I don’t think tulane will hang around for along.
