St. Bonaventure vs Cleveland State 12/7/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Cleveland State Vikings and the St. Bonaventure Bonnies meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Reilly Center. Cleveland State is 6-3 overall this year. Cleveland State lost their first three games of the year, but since then they’ve been on a nice six-game win streak. The victories in that time have come versus Canisius, AR-Pine Bluff, Chicago State, Western Michigan, Oakland and Detroit. 

In the Detroit game back on Saturday, Cleveland State took a 45-36 lead into the break. The Vikings posted another 47 points from there in a 92-77 win. Tae Williams doubled up with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Yahel Hill added 19 points.

Over on the St. Bonaventure side, they went 2-2 over their first four games this year with wins over St. Francis PA and Bowling Green. The Bonnies beat Southern Indiana, Notre Dame and Middle Tennessee in the next trio. 

On Saturday versus Buffalo, the Bonnies were down 37-31 going into the second half. St. Bonaventure couldn’t come back and lost 83-66. Yann Farrell led the team with 18 points and nine rebounds in the defeat. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Cleveland State. The Vikings have looked pretty good during this six-game win streak. They’ve hit 71 or more points in four straight games as well. Cleveland State has some dud outings on the card so far this year but overall they’re not playing too badly. As for St. Bonaventure, they’re coming off a rough game versus Buffalo. That said, the Bonnies have some nice outings this year as well. I like this one to be pretty competitive most of the way.
