The Davidson Wildcats improved to 17-3 on the season after defeating the La Salle Explorers, 77-69, this past Saturday. Davidson was solid on the defensive end against La Salle and was able to hold off the Explorers for the victory after taking a 61-46 lead with 7:34 left in regulation. Davidson shot 46.2% from the field & 36.8% from beyond the arc while holding La Salle to just 39.7% shooting from the field & 21.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Luka Brajkovic who had 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, & 1 block.

On the season, Davidson is averaging 76.8 ppg on 49.3% shooting from the field. The Wildcats are averaging 9.1 three-pointers per game on 40.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Davidson has been led by Hyunjung Lee (15.9 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.1 apg), Foster Loyer (15.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 3.4 apg), Luka Brajkovic (14.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.3 apg), & Michael Jones (12.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensviely, Davidson is allowing their opponents to an average of 66.8 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Wildcats have a rebound margin of 4.6 and a turnover margin of 0.7.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies improved to 12-5 on the season after defeating the Saint Joseph’s Hawks, 80-69, this past Saturday. St. Bonaventure led by a 33-29 margin at halftime and was able to pull away for the victory in the 2nd half after taking a 64-48 lead with 5:22 left in regulation. The Wildcats are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games & 13-6 ATS overall on the season. The Bonnies are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games & 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.

Davidson has been great on both ends of the court this season as the Wildcats come into this game ranked 58th in scoring offense, 7th in FG%, 120th in scoring defense, & 65th in rebound margin. St. Bonaventure has been led by their defense which ranks 147th in scoring defense & 130th in defensive FG%, however, the Bonnies have struggled at times on the offensive end and currently rank just 197th in scoring offense, 174th in FG%, & 259th in 3P-FG%.

St. Bonaventure has some solid experience and a great starting five, however, the Bonnies lack depth which has hurt them in the 2nd half of games. St. Bonaventure is an impressive 7-1 at home, however, Davidson comes into this game with a 6-0 road record which includes a win at Richmond along with a neutral site victory over Alabama. Davidson has the talent and offense to match up with St. Bonaventure and as they have just been the better team all season, I’m taking the Wildcats and the point. Good Luck!
