St. Francis-BK vs Wagner Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/9/23

The Wagner Seahawks and the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers meet Thursday in college basketball action from Peter Aquilone Court. Wagner enters this one at 12-9 on the year. The Seahawks beat Fairleigh Dickinson in their last game. As for St. Francis BK, they’re 12-12 this season following a loss to Stonehill on Saturday. Wagner Seahawks 

Wagner had some struggles over their first 16 games of the year, going 9-7 overall. The Seahawks are 3-2 since then, beating Central CT State, Sacred Heart and Fairleigh Dickinson with losses to St. Francis BK and Sacred Heart. 

In the Fairleigh Dickinson game on Saturday, the Seahawks were down 46-42 going into the second half. Wagner got better from there on a 41-33 second-half run and won 83-79. Javier Ezquerra, Brandon Brown and Julian Brown each scored 12 points. 

St. Francis BK Terriers 

Over on the St. Francis BK side, they started out on a rough run as well, going 7-9 through 16 games. The Terriers are on a 5-3 stretch since then, beating Sacred Heart, LIU, Wagner, LIU again and Central CT State in that time. 

Back on Saturday versus Stonehill, the Terriers took a 25-18 deficit into the second half. St. Francis BK outscored the Skyhawks 41-40 from there but still lost 65-59. Tedrick Wilcox topped the team on 17 points. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll probably stick with St. Francis BK here. The last time these teams met up back on January 26, the Terriers secured a 65-56 win thanks to a 43-26 second half run. Wagner had an eight-point lead at the break but fell apart afterward. St. Francis BK has been at 61 points or fewer in five of the last six games, so this is probably going to be a lower total. I like Wagner to hang around for most of the game with St. Francis BK ultimately pulling off the cover/win.
