In this article, we will formulate a St. Joseph’s vs St. Louis Prediction for this college basketball game on Friday, February 7th, at the Hagan Arena. Let’s take a look at a Saint Joseph’s Hawks vs. Saint Louis Billikens pick.

Saint Louis Pulled it Out

Saint Louis in the last game faced off against UMass on the road and it wasn’t the prettiest game, especially with the defense, but they ended up pulling it out late 73-71. It was a balanced attack with three different players that put up at least 11 points. Isaiah Swope had a strong game, putting up 20 points, three rebounds, and two assists. There were three different players that put up at least 11 points. Two games ago against Dayton, Saint Louis scored 63 points, but the defense gave up 71 points.

Saint Louis comes into this game with a 14-9 record overall and they have gone 8-13 against the spread. The over has hit in only four of the games so far this season. The Billikens are averaging 74 points while their defense is giving up 69.2 points per game. As a team, they are shooting 47.66 percent from the field, which is 47th in the league. Gibson Jimerson is averaging 17.8 points while shooting 44.6 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from behind the three-point line.

Can Saint Joseph’s Bounce Back?

Saint Joseph’s, in the last game, faced off against the Loyola Ramblers, and they were awful with the offense. At halftime, they were down 34-17, and even though they scored 38 points in the second half, it still wasn’t enough. In this game, they can’t build such a big hole again. Erik Reynolds II did have a strong game putting up 17 points, one rebound, and one assist. There were three different players that put up at least 12 points, but outside of those three, there was zero production. Two games ago against Duquesne, they were able to pick up a 76-72 victory.

Saint Joseph’s overall sits with a 13-9 record, and they have gone 8-14 against the spread. Saint Joseph’s is averaging 75.2 points while their defense is giving up 68.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 158th in the league while the defense is ranked 95th in the league. Xzayvier Brown is averaging 16.1 points while shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from behind the three-point line.

St. Joseph’s vs St. Louis Prediction

Saint Louis might be 1-5 straight up as underdogs, but they are underdogs here, and I trust they can keep it close. Overall, the stats are pretty similar for the two teams, and I trust Saint Louis can succeed here. They are averaging 74 points per game and they are going to get out to a fast start here. It might still be a game they end up losing late, but the Billikens will use a balanced attack to keep it close. Back Saint Louis against the spread.
