The Vermont Catamounts will look to build on their 80-65 win over Brown to start the year. Aaron Deloney led the charge with 32 points on 11 of 14 shooting with 4 threes and a team-high 5 assists while Finn Sullivan had 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting with a pair of threes and 7 rebounds and 4 steals. TJ Hurley added 11 points to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Vermont in the winning effort while Robin Duncan added a team-high 8 rebounds.

The Saint Mary’s Gaels will try to build on their 78-70 win over Oral Roberts last time out. Aidan Mahaney led the Gaels with 25 points on 8 of 19 shooting with 5 threes while Mitchell Saxen had 16 points with 8 rebounds and a team-high 5 assists with 3 steals as well. Logan Johnson added 12 points along with 9 rebounds while Alex Ducas had 11 points to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Saint Mary’s in the win. Kyle Bowen also added a team-high 11 rebounds for the Gales in the victory.

Vermont is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Saint Mary’s is 11-1 ATS in their last 12 Thursday games and 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall.

I get why Saint Mary’s is favored at home here, but I thought they were giving up too many points in their opener against Oral Roberts and I still think they’re giving up too many points in this spot as well. This is a really good Vermont team, year in and year out, and I think this is a good spot to take Vermont and the points in a game they could win outright.
