In their matchup versus Georgia Tech on Tuesday, the Irish scored 30 points in the first half, 35 in the second and eight in overtime for a tense 73-72 victory. Notre Dame’s Dane Goodwin led the team on 19 points with 12 rebounds.

PICK: I’m going to try Syracuse here. We should have a pretty entertaining matchup on our hands, though. The Orange took care of a pretty good Virginia Tech team in their last outing, shooting 50.8 percent from the field with a 37-36 rebounding advantage. Syracuse has scored pretty well lately with 70 or more points in eight of their last nine games. As for Notre Dame, they’re coming off a gutsy win over Georgia Tech but they’ve failed to crack 65 points in four of their last five outings. I like the Irish to put up a good effort here but I’m leaning Syracuse cover-wise. Should be a fun one.
