TCU vs Santa Clara 11/22/2021 College Basketball Picks, Best Bets and Odds

The Santa Clara Broncos and the TCU Horned Frogs meet Monday in college basketball action from JSerra Pavilion. Santa Clara is 4-0 on the young season and coming off a win over Cal Poly. Santa Clara had a strong second half in their opener this year, eventually beating Cal State Fullerton 84-77. In the next pair the Broncos recorded wins over Stanford 88-72 and Nevada 96-74. 

Back on Friday versus Cal Poly, Santa Clara managed another victory. This one was 87-57 and fueled by 53 second-half points. The Broncos’ top scorer was Jalen Williams with 26 points and nine boards. 

Over on the TCU side, their opener was a 77-61 win over McNeese State. The Frogs posted 41 points in the second half during the victory. In game two TCU put up another strong outing 83-51 over Southern Miss. 

The Frogs’ offense was muted in a 30-24 first-half deficit on Thursday against Nicholls State, but TCU eventually pulled it out 63-50. Mike Miles led the way on 16 points, and Micah Peavy added 10 points and six rebounds. 

Santa Clara is 3-10 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS win and 3-0-1 ATS in their last four overall. The over is 4-0 in the Broncos’ last four overall.

Meanwhile, the Frogs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 neutral-site games and 2-6 ATS in the last eight Monday games. TCU is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. 

PICK: I’m going with Santa Clara here. The Broncos offense has been quite impressive so far, with 84 or more points in each of their first four games. Santa Clara shot 46.8 percent from the field in their last outing, with 39 rebounds and 15 assists. 

As for TCU, I like them to bounce back from their tepid offensive outing (37.7 percent shooting) in their last game and put up a lot of points here. Should be a high-scoring, fun game to check out.
