The Ole Miss Rebels and the Texas A&M Aggies meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Reed Arena. Ole Miss enters this game at 9-5 so far. The Rebels took out Mississippi State in their last game. As for Texas A&M, they’re 13-2 and coming off a win over Arkansas. Ole Miss managed a 6-2 run over their first eight games this year, losing to Marquette and Boise State along the way. Since then it’s been a 3-3 stretch with victories versus Middle Tennessee, Dayton and Mississippi State.

In the Mississippi State matchup back on Saturday, the Rebels posted 50 points in the first half and held on for the 82-72 victory. Matthew Murrell led the team on 31 points, and Daeshun Ruffin put up 17 points with eight assists.

Over on the Texas A&M side, their first nine games featured a 7-2 run with losses to Wisconsin and TCU. The Aggies have won six straight games since then, taking out Oregon State, NW State, DCC, Central Arkansas, Georgia and Arkansas.

Matched up against Arkansas on Saturday, the Aggies posted 37 points in the first half and 49 more from there in an 86-81 win. Quenton Jackson put up 16 points with five rebounds, and Henry Coleman added 14 points with nine boards.

The Aggies are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 at home. The over is 7-1 in Texas A&M’s last eight overall.

Meanwhile, the Rebels are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven after an ATS win. The Rebels are 5-2 ATS in the last seven Tuesday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Texas A&M. The Aggies played well against a good Arkansas team in their last outing, shooting 56.4 percent from the field with 8-of-19 (42.1 percent) from 3-point range. Texas A&M did get out-rebounded pretty badly 46-32 (20-6 offensive), however.

As for Ole Miss, they shot 51.8 percent from the field with 35 rebounds in their last game against Mississippi State. The Rebels have hit 73 or more points in three of their last four, but they’ve had a few scoring duds here and there. I like Ole Miss to hang around for most of the game here with Texas A&M eventually powering out the cover.
