Texas A&M-CC Betting Preview

Over on the Texas A&M-CC side, they had a mediocre 3-3 stretch in January/February but also finished off the regular season strong. The Islanders would hit a seven-game win streak to end the calendar year but didn’t go far in the tournament with a loss to Nicholls in their opening matchup.

Last Tuesday versus Nicholls, Texas A&M-CC fought hard but ultimately came up short. The Islanders scored 30 points in the first half, 39 in the second and just four in overtime for an 81-73 loss. Garry Clark put up 17 points with five rebounds and one steal to lead the team in the defeat.

Abilene Christian vs Texas A&M-CC Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with Texas A&M-CC. The Islanders couldn’t quite topple a decent Nicholls team in their last outing thanks to a rough overtime performance. Texas A&M-CC didn’t exactly play well with 41.4 percent shooting, a 39-29 rebounding deficit and 17 turnovers for 18 Colonels points. Even with all that however, the Islanders were still in it until late. It’s been a nice scoring run for Texas A&M-CC lately with 71 or more points in eight straight outings. The Islanders should be in good shape if they can keep that run going Tuesday.

Abilene Christian likely won’t go too quietly, though. The Wildcats have had a couple of rough scoring outings in their last trio, however they did score 71 or more in four straight prior to that (all wins). I like the Islanders to pester Abilene Christian on defense and keep the Wildcats in check. This one could turn into a high-scoring affair pretty easily, though.
