Texas Southern vs Arizona State 11/13/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Texas Southern Tigers meet Sunday in college basketball action from H&PE Arena. Arizona State is 2-0 so far this year and coming off a win over Northern Arizona. Arizona State kicked off their year with a matchup versus Tarleton State. The Sun Devils were up 32-29 by halftime and had to scramble for a 62-59 win. Frankie Collins led the team on 21 points, and Marcus Bagley added 13 points. 

In game two versus Northern Arizona, the Sun Devils had an easier time. Arizona State was up 47-22 by halftime and held on for the 84-68 victory. DJ Horne topped the team with 25 points and Devan Cambridge posted 16 points with six boards. 

Over on the Texas Southern side, they opened the year with a game against San Francisco. Texas Southern scored 35 points in the first half in a 90-77 loss. PJ Henry led the way on 21 points and John Walker posted 17 points in 34 minutes. 

In their second outing of the year, Texas Southern took on Texas Tech. The Tigers were down 44-28 by halftime and ultimately limped to a 78-54 loss. Zytarious Mortle posted 12 points, and Walker put up 12 boards and seven points. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Arizona State but probably not touching it. The Sun Devils just barely got by a surprising Tarleton State team in their opener but they took care of business against an overmatched Northern Arizona team on Thursday. Arizona State shot 54.2 percent from the field in that one, collecting 40 rebounds and 18 assists as well. So long as the Sun Devils play to their capabilities they shouldn’t have too much trouble with Texas Southern.
