John Walker III has 11.4 PPG and 4.3 RPG while PJ Henry has 10.4 PPG and a team-high 2.3 APG to lead the Tigers in the assist department to round out the scoring in double figures for Texas Southern this season. As a team, Texas Southern is averaging 67.3 PPG on 40.7% shooting from the field, 26.2% from three and 61% from the foul line this season.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m leaning towards Texas Southern here. The home team and the favorite has had a lot of the recent success between these two teams and while both have played tough opposition to this point, I just don’t think we’re getting enough points to consider Southern in the underdog role. Give me Texas Southern in this one.
