In the Georgia State game on Saturday, the Eagles posted a nice 34-16 advantage by the break. Georgia Southern was outscored 36-24 in the second half but hung on for the 58-52 win. Jalen Finch led the team on 15 points.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll probably stick with Georgia Southern in this one. The Eagles have been a mixed bag lately (and all season), however they’re doing fairly well over the last eight with a 5-3 record in that time. Georgia Southern has scored a combined 117 points over their last two outings however, so they’ll need a stronger offensive effort here. As for Texas State, they’ve been at 64 points or fewer in seven of their last eight games so they haven’t exactly been offensive dynamos themselves. This is looking like more of a defensive battle with a lower total. Should be interesting.
