The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Texas Tech Red Raiders meet in college basketball action from the United Supermarkets Arena on Monday night.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will look to build on their 78-61 season opening win over subdivision Mississippi College last time out. Keaston Willis led the way with 20 points on 6 of 13 shooting with 4 threes and 3 assists while Cobe Williams added 16 points on 5 of 7 shooting with a pair of threes and Jordan Crawford was right behind with 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting with a pair of threes as well. Isaiah Crawford added 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting with 5 rebounds to cap off the double-digit scorers for LA Tech in the win while Will Allen added a team-high 6 rebounds in the victory.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will be out to add to a 78-54 win over Texas Southern last time out. Kevin Obanor and Jaylon Tyson led the way with 13 points apiece, with Obanor shooting 6 of 8 from the floor with a team-high 7 rebounds while Tyson shot 6 of 11 from the field. DeVion Harmon added 12 points with 3 assists and a pair of steals to cap off the scoring in double figures for Texas Tech in the win.

Louisiana Tech is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Monday games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall. Texas Tech is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a win and 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 home games.

I get the reasoning for backing an underdog and not wanting to just back a team because they’re at home, but the thing here is that the Red Raiders continue to be one of the most dominant defensive teams in the country and while LA Tech got the win in their opener, going from a subdivision opponent to facing the top defense in the country is going to be a shock to the system. I think this line’s somewhat light given the disparity between these two sides, so give me Texas Tech.
