Toledo vs Eastern Michigan Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 1/24/23

The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Toledo Rockets meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Savage Arena. Eastern Michigan is 4-15 so far. The Eagles took a loss to Northern Illinois on Saturday. As for Toledo, they’re sitting at 13-6 following a win versus Buffalo back on Friday. Eastern Michigan Eagles 

Eastern Michigan managed to go 3-11 over their first 14 games, beating only Wayne St. (MI), FIU and Detroit. The Eagles are 1-4 since then with losses to Western Michigan, Akron, Kent State and Northern Illinois. 

Matched up with Northern Illinois on Saturday, the Eagles were down 50-31 by halftime. Eastern Michigan got better from there but still lost big 88-67. Tops in scoring was Noah Farrakhan with 26 points and eight rebounds. 

Toledo Rockets 

Over on the Toledo side, they lost to UMKC, East Carolina, George Mason, Marshall and Ball State over their first 14 games. The Rockets have since gone 4-1 with wins over Western Michigan, NIU, Ohio and Buffalo. 

In the Buffalo game on Friday, the Rockets were up 46-39 at the break. Toledo posted a 40-38 second-half run and took the win 86-77. RayJ Dennis topped the team on 21 points, and Setric Millner added 20 points with six rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to stay with Toledo in this one. The line’s probably a little too thick to play with, though. The Rockets did a solid job against a decent Buffalo team on Friday, and they’ve scored great lately with 84 or more points in every win during this 4-1 run. Toledo should have plenty of firepower to cover in this one. As for Eastern Michigan, they’ve got some pretty decent offensive performances this year but they’ve been giving up a truckload of points lately. I don’t see the Eagles hanging around for too long here.
