William & Mary Tribe
The Tribe posted a 7-9 run to kick off the season, then really hit the skids. William & Mary would win just one game (over Northeastern) from January 13 through February 29 in a 1-13 run. The Tribe were able to finish off with a win over Hampton though, and then beat North Carolina A&T.
In the Friday tournament game versus North Carolina A&T, the Tribe were up 35-30 going into the second half. William & Mary finished strong on a 44-32 run and took the win 79-62. Chase Lowe (16 rebounds), Trey Moss and Gabe Dorsey each scored a team-high 18 points in the victory.

Towson Tigers
Over on the Towson side, they got off to a 14-8 start through their first 22 games this year. The Tigers are a sketchy 4-5 since then however, beating Elon, William & Mary, Monmouth and North Carolina A&T. The losses were to Hofstra, Delaware, Hampton, Charleston and UNC Wilmington.
Matched up against the Seahawks last weekend, the Tigers came out of halftime with a 30-29 edge. Towson was outscored 46-34 the rest of the way however, resulting in a 75-64 loss. Charles Thompson was the leading team scorer on his 17 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double.
ANDREW’S FREE WILLIAM & MARY VS TOWSON PREDICTION
I’ll probably take a stab on Towson. Probably not touching this one though, as the Tigers aren’t playing that well right now. Towson had a nice 39-24 rebounding advantage over UNC Wilmington in their last game, but also hit just 25 percent from 3-point range and coughed up 19 turnovers for 23 Seahawks points. In three of the last five games, Towson has been below 65 points.
In their last meeting on February 15, Towson took a 61-52 road win over the Tribe. William & Mary shot an abysmal 30.3 percent from the field and 18.2 percent (6-of-33) from 3-point range in that one. The Tribe are playing better over their last couple of games though, so I doubt things will be that bad on Saturday. Still, I think Towson controls this one in a cover.
