Troy vs Tennessee Tech 12/10/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles and the Troy Trojans meet Saturday in college basketball action from Trojan Arena. Tennessee Tech is 3-6 overall this year. The Golden Eagles lost to Butler in their last game. As for Troy, they’re 6-4 and coming off a loss to San Diego State. Tennessee Tech went 1-3 over their first four games, losing to Tennessee, Marshall and Coppin State. The Eagles would then beat East TN State and Truett-McConnell before losses to Northern Kentucky and Chattanooga. 

Tennessee Tech put up another loss in the Butler game last weekend. The Eagles were down 37-33 by halftime and ended up with an 80-66 defeat. Jayvis Harvey posted 16 points in the loss, and Tyrone Perry added 14 points.

Over on the Troy side, they won four straight games to kick off the year before falling to St. Thomas MN. The Trojans took wins over Montana and SUNO in the next pair before losses to Arkansas and SIUE. 

Back on Monday versus San Diego State, Troy’s losing streak continued. The Trojans were up 33-29 by halftime but notched just 22 points from there in a 60-55 defeat. Aamer Muhammad led the way with his 21 points. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Troy here. The Trojans put up an admirable fight against a very good San Diego State team in their last outing. Troy shot just 32.8 percent from the field though, and got out-rebounded 37-32. Troy is sitting on three straight losses, but two of those were to ranked teams. 

As for Tennessee Tech, they’ve given up 80 or more points in three straight games. The Golden Eagles may hang around for a while here, but I don’t think they’ve got the legs to cover if Troy is on point.
