Tulane vs George Mason 12/17/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The George Mason Patriots and the Tulane Green Wave meet Saturday in college basketball action from United Center. George Mason is 6-4 overall this year. The Patriots beat MD Eastern Shore in their last game. As for Tulane, they’re 6-3 and coming off a win over Buffalo. George Mason went just 2-4 over their first six games this year, beating Longwood and American along the way. The Patriots have hit a win streak versus Queens NC, Hofstra, Toledo and MD Eastern Shore since then. 

In the game versus MD Eastern Shore, the Patriots took a slim 32-31 edge into the second half. George Mason posted a 35-23 run from there in a 67-54 win. Josh Oduro led the team on a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. 

Over on the Tulane side, they’ve taken losses to Nevada, Western Kentucky and Fordham so far this year. Otherwise the wins have come versus UMBC, McNeese State, Charleston Southern, Rhode Island, LA Monroe and Buffalo. 

In the Buffalo game, the Wave took a 46-29 advantage into the locker room. Tulane kept the run going with a 42-34 second half and won 88-63. Jalen Cook was tops on the team with 21 points, eight assists and four rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Tulane. The Green Wave played well against Buffalo in their last outing, notching 47 percent shooting with 34 rebounds and 16 team assists. Tulane has hit 75 or more points in four of their last five outings and should be able to post a decent total in this one as well. As for George Mason, they could be trouble for Tulane if they’re on point. The Patriots have scored 72 or more in three of the four games in this winning streak. That said, I like Tulane a little better cover-wise. Should be a fun one, though.
