Tulane vs Wichita State Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/26/23

The Wichita State Shockers and the Tulane Green Wave meet Sunday in college basketball action from Devlin Fieldhouse. Wichita State is 14-13 overall this year. The Shockers lost to Memphis in their last game. As for Tulane, they’re 17-8 on the season and coming off a loss to Houston. Wichita State Shockers 

Wichita State opened up the season on a .500 run, going 10-10 over their first 20 games. The Shockers are 4-3 since then with wins over East Carolina, Tulsa, SMU and Temple alongside losses to Houston, UCF and Memphis. 

In the Memphis matchup on Thursday, the Shockers held a 40-40 tie going into the second half. Wichita State was outscored 43-38 from there and lost 83-78. Leading the team in scoring was James Rojas with 19 points and six rebounds. 

Tulane Green Wave

Over on the Tulane side, they kicked off the season on a 12-5 run. The Green Wave are 5-3 in their last eight games with wins over Wichita State, SMU, Memphis, Cincinnati and South Florida alongside losses to Houston, Tulsa and Houston again. 

In the Houston rematch back on Wednesday, the Wave were outscored 40-26 in the first half. Tulane was drilled 49-33 in the second and limped to a blowout loss 89-59. Jalen Cook was the team’s high scorer on 23 points and five rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to stick with Tulane here. Prior to their blowout loss to a great Houston team on Wednesday, the Wave had a five-game win streak going. Tulane scored 74 or more points in each of those victories, and 84 or more in four of the five. The last time these teams met up was back on January 25 at Charles Koch Arena. Tulane came back from a 48-35 halftime deficit to post a 95-90 overtime victory in that one. This rematch will probably be a close game as well, and all things considered I like Tulane to eke out the cover. Should be a fun one.
