The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the UC-San Diego Tritons meet in college basketball action from RIMAC Arena on Thursday night.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles will look to bounce back from a 101-63 loss at the hands of DePaul in their last game. Noel Farrakhan leads the Eagles in scoring with 16.8 PPG along with 4.6 RPG while Monty Scott has 16.7 PPG and a team-high 3 APG. Bryce McBride has 10.3 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for EMU up to this point in the season while Colin Golson Jr. has 7.8 PPG with 5 RPG and Nate Scott has 6.3 PPG and a team-high 5.2 RPG as well this season. As a team, Eastern Michigan is averaging 72 PPG on 40.3% shooting from the field, 36.7% from three and 73.2% from the foul line while allowing 82 PPG on 44% shooting from the field and 32.8% from three this season.

The UC-San Diego Tritons will look to bounce back from a 56-55 loss to Southern Miss in their last game. Toni Rocak leads the Tritons in scoring and rebounding with 15.8 PPG and 7.8 RPG while Francis Nwaokorie has 13.7 PPG and 5.3 RPG as the only other Triton to score in double figures up to this point in the season. Bryce Pope has 9.5 PPG and Jake Killingsworth has a team-high 2.7 APG as well this season. As a team, UC-San Diego is averaging 73.2 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field, 40.3% from three and 71.7% from the foul line while allowing 60.8 PPG on 39.3% shooting from the field and 28% from three this season.

Eastern Michigan is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games against a team with a home winning percentage above .600 and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 9-2 in their last 11 games after allowing more than 90 points in their previous game. UC-San Diego is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.

I get the case that could be made either way here, but despite the offensive success on both sides, this feels like a first to 65 wins kind of game. We’ve seen the Tritons regress offensively the last little bit and Eastern Michigan’s offense usually comes alive at home and sputters  on the road. Give me the under here.
