The Oregon Ducks and the UCLA Bruins meet Friday in Pac-12 college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. Oregon is 19-13 on the year. The Ducks beat Washington State in the tournament on Thursday. Oregon Ducks
Oregon managed a 14-10 record over their first 24 games this year. The Ducks logged a 4-3 record over their final seven, beating USC, Oregon State, California and Stanford. The losses otherwise were to UCLA, Washington and Washington State.
On Thursday in the tournament game versus Washington State, the Ducks took a 38-30 edge into the second half. Oregon was outscored 40-37 from there but still won 75-70. Tops in scoring was Jermaine Couisnard with 17 points and three rebounds.
UCLA Bruins
Over on the UCLA side, they started out the year on a nice 20-4 run in their first 24 outings. The Bruins finished the regular season with wins over Oregon, Stanford, California, Utah, Colorado, Arizona State and Arizona in succession.
In the Pac-12 Tournament matchup versus Colorado on Thursday, the Bruins took a 38-37 deficit into the second half. UCLA posted a 43-31 run the rest of the way and won 80-69. Leading the team was Amari Bailey with 26 points, and Adem Bona doubled on 11 points and 10 rebounds.

I’ll probably stick with UCLA in this one. The Bruins are playing some great basketball these days, and they’ve got 11 straight wins to show for it. UCLA has scored 70 or more points in seven of their last eight outings as well. As for Oregon, they’re scoring well themselves with 69 or more points in each installment of their current four-game win streak. These teams have met twice before, with UCLA coming out on top both times. First was a 65-56 home win on December 4, then a 70-63 road victory on February 11. Oregon will probably hang around for most of the game here, but I like the Bruins to eventually power out the cover.
