The Hawks have been quite busy so far this year, with 10 games in the bank. MD Eastern Shore has fallen to Vanderbilt, Penn, Old Dominion, Murray State, Illinois, Arkansas, and Little Rock in that time. The wins otherwise were versus Penn State Schuylkill and Gallaudet.
In their Wednesday matchup with Little Rock, the Hawks held a 40-31 deficit going into the second half. MD Eastern Shore didn’t get any closer in an eventual 78-59 loss. Evan Johnson was the only team player in double-figures with 15 points.
UConn Huskies Betting Preview
Over on the UConn side, they started out the season great with wins over Sacred Heart, New Hampshire, Le Moyne, and East Texas A&M. Since then it’s been an ugly three-game skid however, as UConn has dropped to Memphis, Colorado, and Dayton.
In the Dayton game, UConn was outscored 41-34 by the break. The Huskies were outscored 44-33 from there in an 85-67 loss. Alex Karaban was the team’s leading scorer on 21 points with three rebounds, and Samson Johnson added 12 points.

I’ll tentatively lean toward UConn, but I’m staying away from this one since the line is so hefty. That said, the Huskies desperately need to post a blowout statement win here after a trio of ugly losses to unranked squads. UConn looked dazed in the Flyers game, giving up 50 percent shooting from the field and getting outmuscled on the boards 41-25. With Baylor, Gonzaga, and Xavier looming in the next four games, the Huskies need to get it together quickly—otherwise, they can kiss any lofty title dreams goodbye.
As for Maryland Eastern Shore, they’ve been below 60 points in their straight games themselves, giving up 78 or more points in each outing. UConn should be able to sleepwalk their way to a cover in Saturday’s game. Still, I can’t put faith in the Huskies to do much of anything after such a disastrous week.
