The New Hampshire Wildcats and the UConn Huskies meet Monday in college basketball action from Gampel Pavilion. New Hampshire is 4-2 on the year following a Friday win over Fairfield. As for UConn, they improved to 6-0 overall with their latest victory versus Manhattan. This is our New Hampshire vs UConn Prediction.
New Hampshire Wildcats
The Wildcats managed a 2-2 record out of the gate this year, beating Curry and Brown in between losses to Syracuse and George Washington. New Hampshire followed that up with a close 74-71 win over Marist on Tuesday. In the win over the Foxes, the Wildcats shot a nice 48 percent from the field with 30 rebounds and 12 assists.
New Hampshire posted another tense three-point win over Fairfield in their last outing. The Wildcats were up 37-35 at the break and held on for the 83-80 result. Tops in scoring was Naim Miller with 20 points and one rebound. Clarence Daniels doubled up on 19 points and 13 rebounds.

UConn Huskies
Over on the UConn side, it’s been smooth sailing with a series of double-digit wins so far. The Huskies ran through Northern Arizona, Stonehill, MS Valley State, Indiana and Texas in their first five outings. In the win over the Longhorns, UConn posted 47.5 percent from the field and a 41-30 rebounding advantage in an 81-71 finish.
The Huskies kept it going in their last matchup versus Manhattan on Friday. UConn sailed through the first half on a 49-32 run, then scored 41 more points in a 90-60 victory. Donovan Clingan led the way on 17 points and four boards, while Tristen Newton notched a triple-double with 15 points, 13 assists and 10 boards.
ANDREW’S FREE UCONN VS NEW HAMPSHIRE PREDICTION
I’ll probably just stick with UConn. Also probably not touching it, though; the line’s crazy thick. The Huskies had zero issues with Manhattan in their last outing, shooting a blistering 58.1 percent from the field with a 37-27 rebounding advantage. The only “close” game UConn has had so far was against Texas, and even that one wasn’t all that close of a finish.
As for New Hampshire, they’re coming off a nice effort versus a struggling Fairfield team, hitting 50 percent from the field with 37 rebounds and 14 assists. Needless to say, there will be quite the uptick in competition here. The only question is margin of victory.
