The Pacific Tigers will travel to the Galen Center to take on the 21st ranked USC Trojans this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Pacific Tigers dropped to 7-15 on the season after being defeated by the Pepperdine Waves, 70-64, this past Saturday. Pacific struggled on the offensive end against Pepperdine and allowed the Waves to pull away late for the victory after they took a 66-60 lead with just :41 seconds left in regulation. Pacific shot 41.7% from the field & 16.7% from beyond the arc while allowing Pepperdine to shoot 44.4% from the field & 29.4% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was Alphonso Anderson who had 17 poitns, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, & 2 steals.

On the season, Pacific is averaging 66.0 ppg on 41.3% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 6.5 three-pointers per game on 33.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Pacific has been led by Alphonso Anderson (11.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.3 spg), Jeremiah Bailey (10.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.6 spg), Luke Avdalovic (10.5 ppg, 1.9 rpg), & Pierre Crockrell II (7.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 4.3 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensively, Pacific is allowing their opponents to average 69.8 ppg on 44.7% shooting from the field. The Tigers have a rebound margin of -1.3 and a turnover margin of 1.6.

The 21st ranked USC Trojans had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 19-4 on the season after being defeated by the 7th ranked Arizona Wildcats, 72-63, this past Saturday. USC held a 60-54 lead with just 6:30 left in the 2nd half, however, the Trojans struggled offensively down the stretch and the Trojans could not fight back after the Wildcats took a 67-63 lead with just 1:06 left in regulation. USC shot 34.3% from the field & 23.3% from beyond the arc while allowing Arizona to shoot 47.3% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Trojans was Isaiah Mobley who had 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, & 1 block.

On the season, USC is averaging 73.3 ppg on 45.8% shooting from the field. The Trojans are averaging 6.6 three-pointers per game on 34.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, USC has been led by Isaiah Mobley (14.7 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.0 bpg), Boogie Ellis (12.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.8 apg), Chevez Goodwin (11.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg), & Drew Peterson (10.9 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.0 apg).

Defensively, USC is holding their opponents to an average of 63.4 ppg on 37.8% shooting from the field. The Trojans have a rebound margin of 8.0 and a turnover margin of -1.0.

The Tigers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games with a home winning % of great than .600 & just 3-15 ATS in their last 18 road games. The Trojans are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games, however, are 12-11 ATS overall on the season.

Pacific has been able to pick up a few wins recently, including a 76-73 upset at home over BYU, however, the Tigers are just not a great team as they come into this game with an 0-9 road record while ranking just 299th in scoring offense, 301st in FG%, & 271st in defensive FG%. USC hasn’t been as strong as of late, however, this is still a very good team and as I think the Trojans defense, which ranks 40th in scoring defense & 10th in defensive FG%, will hold Pacific to under 50 points, I think the Trojans offense does enough to cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
