VCU vs Duquesne 2/5/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Duquesne Dukes will travel to the Stuart C. Siegel Center to take on the VCU Rams this Saturday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Duquesne Dukes lost their 6 straight game and dropped to 6-13 on the season after being defeated by the Richmond Spiders, 74-57, this past Tuesday night. Duquesne trailed by just a 35-32 margin at halftime, however, the Dukes struggled on both ends of the court in the 2^nd half and could not fight back after Richmond took a 57-36 lead with 11:46 left in regulation. Duquesne shot just 39.3% from the field & 19.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Richmond to shoot 50.0% from the field & 54.2% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Dukes was Toby Okani who had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block, & 1 steal.

VCU had no answers fort he Dayton offensive attack and could not fight back after the Flyers took a 62-42 lead with 10:31 left in regulation. VCU shot 40.9% from the field & 18.2% from beyond the arc while allowing Dayton to shoot 52.4% from the field & 46.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Rams was Adrian Baldwin Jr. who had 12 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, & 1 steal.

On the season, VCU is averaging 62.9 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field. The Rams are averaging 5.6 three-pointers per game on 33.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Duquesne is just 1-4 on the road this season and has struggled on both ends of the court (287^th in scoring offense; 246^th in scoring defense; 316^th in defensive FG%) as I think VCU bounces back with a strong performance in this one, I’m taking the Rams to cover this double-digit home spread.
