Binghamton Bearcats
Binghamton had a rough start to the season, going 8-10 over their first 18 outings. The Bearcats are 4-4 in their last eight games, losing to Maine, Vermont, UMBC and UMass Lowell with wins over Bryant, New Hampshire, Albany and NJIT otherwise.
In the UMass Lowell matchup back on Saturday, the Bearcats took a 40-34 deficit into the break. Binghamton didn’t get any closer on a 44-36 second half and lost 84-70. Dan Petcash was the leading team scorer with 21 points and four rebounds.

I’ll stick with Vermont here. The Catamounts had a little trouble against a struggling NJIT team in their last matchup on Saturday, but to their credit Vermont was able to secure the win. That makes nine straight victories for the Catamounts. One of those wins was a January 25 affair against the Bearcats at Binghamton University Events Center. Vermont didn’t have any trouble in that one during an 80-55 finish. This one probably won’t be so lopsided, but Vermont should still be in full control at home.
