Since scoring fewer than 69 points in a pair of losses to Saint Mary’s and VCU, Virginia Tech has a combined 159 points in a pair of victories over South Carolina and George Mason.

As for Western Carolina, they shot just 34.5 percent from the field and had a 37-32 rebounding deficit in their latest loss to USC Upstate. The 4-of-17 (23.5 percent) from outside didn’t help matters either. The Catamounts have lost three of the last four, with fewer than 68 points in two of the three defeats.
