In this article, we will formulate a Virginia vs St John’s Prediction for this college basketball game on Friday, November 22nd, at the Baha Mar Convention Center.

Virginia’s Offense Has to be Better

It is the same story year after year. They say they want to focus on defense, but far too often the offense just isn’t good enough. On Thursday the Cavaliers faced off against Tennessee and they scored only 42 points even though the defense gave up only 66 points, it was the offense that was so bad. Virginia shot only 28.6 percent from the field and 30 percent from deep. The defense wasn’t awful but the lack of scoring was just too bad. Dai Dai Ames was the top offensive player putting up 12 points. Prior to that game, the Cavaliers defeated Villanova, Coppin State, and Campbell to start the season. Virginia is averaging 59.8 points while their defense is giving up 56.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 350th in the league while the defense is ranked 11th.

Tired Legs for St. John’s

St John’s is going to have tired legs after losing in double overtime on Thursday and their confidence might be shot. The Red Storm faced off against the Baylor Bears, and at halftime, they were up 44-30. In the second half, they blew the lead though and they ended up losing in double overtime. St John’s did shoot 54.8 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from behind the three-point line. Zuby Elijofor had a strong game putting up 22 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. There were five different players that put up at least 10 points. The Red Storm on the season is averaging 87.4 points while their defense is giving up 69.6 points per game. The offense is ranked 40th in the league while the defense is ranked 158th.

Virginia vs St John’s Prediction

Give me the under here. Virginia knows they don’t have the offensive talent to keep up if this game is going to be higher scoring so they are going to slow this down to a snail’s pace. Virginia is going to play better defense though, but their offense is going to really struggle and that is going to be the difference here. Neither team is reaching 60 points here. Back the under to cash here.
