Virginia Cavaliers Betting Preview

The Virginia Cavaliers are 10-11 (3-7) this year after they defeated Miami by a score of 82-71 in their last game. Virginia led 40-29 at halftime and added 42 points in the second half for the win. Why Virginia Tech will beat Virginia

  • Virginia has lost five of its last six day games against the Atlantic Coast Conference.
  • Virginia Tech has won each of its last four games following a road win.
  • Virginia has lost the first half in each of its last seven day games against the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Virginia vs Virginia Tech Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup below .500 in conference play, but Virginia will be at home for this contest. The Cavaliers have won two of their last three games, but they are scoring just 62.8 points per game this year. Virginia Tech did snap their losing streak with a win over Florida State on the road last time out, but they are shooting just 43.9% from the field this year. Both teams have been pretty rough on offense, but Virginia is clearly the better defensive team. I do think Virginia is going to get the win, but it is tough for me to trust them to cover by more than one possession with how the offense has been. Take Virginia Tech and the points.
