The USC Trojans and the Washington Huskies meet Wednesday in Big Ten Tournament college basketball action from United Center in Chicago. Here’s a Washington vs USC prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Washington vs USC pick.
USC Trojans Betting Preview
This year the Trojans opened up with a 14-3 run, then took losses to Purdue, Northwestern and Iowa over the next four games. Wins over Rutgers, Indiana and Penn State came next, then a string of losses to Ohio State, Illinois, Oregon, UCLA, Nebraska, Washington and UCLA. Over the first 31 games of the year so far that gives the Trojans an 18-13 overall record in the books.
On Saturday versus UCLA, the Trojans were down 45-30 going into the second half. USC was outscored 44-38 the rest of the way and finished off a loss on their home court 89-68 in the end. Tops in scoring was Alijah Arenas with 20 points, two rebounds and two assists in the loss. Ezra Ausar added 12 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks.
Washington Huskies Betting Preview
Over on the Washington side, they were sitting at 12-10 over the first 22 games of the season. The Huskies would then lose three straight versus Iowa, UCLA and Penn State. Since then it’s been a 3-3 run with wins over Minnesota, Rutgers and USC mixed among losses to Maryland, Wisconsin and Oregon during that time. That gives the Huskies a 15-16 record so far this year.
In the Oregon matchup last weekend the Huskies were sitting in the locker room at the break with a 44-30 deficit. Washington got better from there on a 49-41 run but ended up taking the loss on the road in the end 85-79. Tops in scoring was Hannes Steinbach with 26 points and 13 rebounds while both Zoom Diallo and Lathan Sommerville added 14 points apiece in the defeat.

Washington vs USC Prediction
I’ll lean toward Washington. The Huskies didn’t play especially well in their latest loss to Oregon though, despite shooting 46.6 percent from the field with a perfect 16-of-16 from the line. Washington added a 32-24 rebounding advantage but also gave up 52.6 percent shooting on defense. The Huskies have been a mixed bag over this current 3-3 run but overall they’re scoring well at least.
Back on March 4 when these teams last saw each other the Huskies scared a 91-72 victory at home. In that one Washington posted 48.1 percent from the field with a 44-34 rebounding edge and 18 points off 12 Trojans turnovers. USC only shot 37.5 percent from the field on the other side. Another effort similar to that should give Washington an easy win in this tournament rematch.
