The Utah Utes and the Washington Huskies meet in college basketball action from the Alaska Airlines Arena on Saturday.

The Utah Utes come into this game looking to snap a nine-game losing skid after a 71-54 loss to Washington State last time out. Branden Carlson leads the Utes in scoring with 13.1 PPG along with 6.1 RPG while Both Gach has 10.1 PPG to make up the pair of double-digit scorers for Utah up to this point in the season. David Jenkins Jr. has 9.3 PPG while Marco Anthony has 8.3 PPG with a team-high 6.9 RPG to lead the Utes on the glass while Rollie Worster has a team-high 3.1 APG as well this season. As a team, Utah is averaging 69.1 PPG on 41.5% shooting from the field, 33.9% from three and 80.3% from the foul line while allowing 69.5 PPG on 42.7% shooting from the field and 29.7% from three this season.

The Washington Huskies will try to build on a 60-58 win over Colorado in their last game. Terrell Brown Jr. leads the Huskies in scoring and assists with 21.2 PPG with 3.9 APG along with 4 RPG as well while Emmitt Matthews Jr. has 11.8 PPG with 4.9 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Washington up to this point in the season. Jamal Bey has 8.5 PPG with 4.2 RPG and Nate Roberts has a team-high 6.2 RPG to lead the Huskies in rebounding this season. As a team, Washington is averaging 69.1 PPG on 39.7% shooting from the field, 30% from three and 67.8% shooting from the foul line while allowing 71.4 PPG on 44.4% shooting from the field and 34% from three this season.

Utah is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record. Washington is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a win while the under is 12-2 in their last 14 games as a home favorite.

This line looks a bit funky, and maybe it’s because Washington’s not a top-tier team in the Pac-12, or the books are expecting Utah to finally show up. However, Utah’s yet to really show up on the road for much of this season, why expect them to start now all of a sudden? Washington’s been competent, especially at home, and I just think at this number, Washington has to be the play to add to Utah’s road woes.
