Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview

The Colorado Buffaloes are 13-19 (3-17) this year after they defeated TCU by a score of 69-67 in their last game. Colorado trailed 27-26 at halftime, but they scored 43 points in the second half and escaped with the win. The Buffaloes shot 41.2% from the field, 40.9% on three pointers, and 75% on free throws in the game. Andrej Jakimovski led Colorado with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Julian Hammond III added 16 points and three assists in the game.

Prior to that win, the Buffaloes defeated TCU again by a score of 76-56, but lost to Texas Tech by a score of 91-75 before that. Colorado has lost three of their last five games and they finished last in the Big 12 standings with a 3-17 record. Colorado has scored 70.1 points per game and they have allowed 71.8 points against per game, while also averaging 35.3 rebounds and 14.3 assists per game this season. Julian Hammond III is averaging 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, while Andrej Jakimovski is averaging 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this year. Colorado is shooting 44.8% from the field, 74.9% on free throws, and 32% on three pointers this season.

West Virginia Mountaineers Betting Preview

The West Virginia Mountaineers are 19-12 (10-10) this season after they defeated UCF by a score of 72-65 in their last game. West Virginia led 47-25 at halftime, but they were outscored 40-25 in the second half in the win. The Mountaineers shot 40.9% from the field, 32.4% on three pointers, and 60% on free throws in the game. Javon Small led West Virginia with 25 points and nine assists, while Amani Hansberry added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.

Prior to that game, the Mountaineers defeated Utah by a score of 71-69, but did lose to BYU by a score of 77-56 before that. West Virginia has won three of their last four games and they finished tied for seventh in the Big 12 standings with a 10-10 record. West Virginia has scored 68.4 points per game and they have allowed 64.7 points against per game, while also averaging 33.4 rebounds and 13.9 assists per game this season. Javon Small is averaging 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game, while Amani Hansberry is averaging 10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this year. West Virginia is shooting 42.5% from the field, 72.2% on free throws, and 32.7% on three pointers this season.

West Virginia vs Colorado Prediction

Colorado came into the Big 12 Tournament after finishing last in the conference standings, but they were able to survive against TCU on Tuesday and will look for another win here. The Buffaloes only had three conference wins this season, but they are shooting 44.8% from the field. West Virginia has won three of their last four games, but they have struggled to play consistently since early January. West Virginia did beat Colorado by a score of 78-70 earlier this year. The Mountaineers don’t shoot the ball very well from the field, but they are one of the better defensive teams in the conference and I think that will be the difference. Take West Virginia here.
