The Fairfield Stags and the William & Mary Tribe meet in college hoops action from Kaplan Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Fairfield Stags come into this one looking to add to a 74-69 win over Holy Cross in their last matchup. Taj Benning leads the Stags in scoring with 11.3 PPG along with 5.7 RPG while Supreme Cook, Jake Wojcik and TJ Long each have 10+ PPG with Cook logging a team-high 7.8 RPG this season, rounding out the group of double-digit scorers for Fairfield so far this season. Caleb Green also has 7.1 PPG and a team-high 3.2 APG as well this season. As a team, Fairfield is averaging 77.8 PPG on 49.2% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 74.4% from the foul line while allowing 68.8 PPG on 43.1% shooting from the field and 37.6% from three this season.

The William & Mary Tribe will try to snap a four-game skid after a 54-53 loss to Hampton in their last game. Ben Wight leads the Tribe in scoring and rebounding with 11.5 PPG and 5.6 RPG while Connor Kochera has 11.2 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for William & Mary so far this season. Quinn Blair also has 9.9 PPG with 4.4 RPG and Tyler Rice is dishing out a team-high 3.9 APG as well this season. As a team, William & Mary is averaging 62.3 PPG on 39.6% shooting from the field, 28.6% from three and 65.2% from the foul line while allowing 71.9PPG on 46.9% shooting from the field and 33.6% from three this season.

Fairfield is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 8-0 ATS in their last 8 road games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 Sunday games. William & Mary is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 home games.

I get the case that could be made either way here, but I’m thinking the under is the strongest play here. These are two teams that don’t necessarily light the scoreboard on fire and realistically, I envision this being a first to 60 or maybe 65 wins kind of game if we even get there. Give me the under in this one.
