The IUPUI Jaguars and the Green Bay Phoenix meet Thursday in college basketball action from Resch Center. IUPUI is 1-12 so far this year. The Jaguars lost to UIC in their last game. IUPUI has a win over Spalding this year but that’s about it. Otherwise it’s been losses to Butler, Evansville, Denver, Texas A&M-CC, UTSA, Detroit, Oakland, Tennessee State, Chicago State, Morehead State, Wright State and UIC.
In the UIC game on Monday, the Jaguars were within one point at halftime and kept the pace the whole way but still lost 67-65. Both Jonah Carrasco and BJ Maxwell put up 10 points apiece to lead the team.
Over on the Green Bay side, they lost their first five games before getting wins over WI-Superior and Robert Morris. It’s been losses to Youngstown State, UMKC, Kansas State, Minnesota, Northern KY, Wright State and Milwaukee since then.
Back on January 5 in the Milwaukee matchup, the Phoenix scored just 21 points in the first half and 28 more from there in a 63-49 loss. Kamari McGee led the way on 22 points, and Japannah Kellogg doubled up with 10 points and 11 boards.
The Phoenix are 1-5 ATS in their last six at home and 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 Thursday games. The over is 7-3 in Green Bay’s last 10 at home.

PICK: I suppose I’m taking Green Bay, but there’s not a lot to like in this matchup. It should at least be a competitive game. In any case, the Phoenix have been wildly inconsistent when it comes to putting up points this year, but they’ve hit a few good totals here and there. IUPUI isn’t much for scoring themselves; they’ve hit more than 59 points just once this year. This game could go a lot of different ways so I’m certainly staying away, but Green Bay seems a better cover option.
